I just wrapped up the score for the pilot for "Otis", a dark comedy about a teenage serial killer from Winetree Productions, written and directed by Stefan Vino-Figueroa. This is a very funny project with a stellar cast and I had a great time working on it. Check out the trailer on Vimeo.
My latest collaboration with the ever-amazing Dax Norman, a piece of visual music called "Slipstream Engine" (YouTube | Vimeo), will screen in competition at the Punto y Raya Festival 2011, this November at the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid. We were very excited to be a part of PyR 2009, and extremely honored to be named finalists in that edition of the festival. This year's competition program includes films by some incredible experimental animators. For a taste, check out the trailer for PyR 2011.
I wrote the Moog-driven music for an Adult Swim/Cartoon Network bumper animated by Dax Norman. Check it out on Vimeo (or even better, when it airs on Adult Swim...).
My interview with Good Old Neon runs in translation in Mi Abuela Es Jazzista #4. English-language version available on my blog at WFMU's Free Music Archive.
Artsongs, a CC-music compilation I curated, is out now.
Big thanks to KRCC for selecting my remix of Björn & Gorden's "II" as their FMA Free Song of the Day.
A remix I did for my Headphonica labelmates Björn & Gorden has been added to the official release of their recent EP, Electrrr. Funky electronic post-rock for fans of Battles, Don Cab, Joan of Arc.
A few of my drawings will appear in the next issue of way-cool Bay Area lit zine We Still Like.
Dax Norman's "Argyle Kabuki" screens tonight at the Guggenheim Bilbao as part of the Best of Punto y Raya 2009! AK is still going strong, even as Dax and I work on our new collaboration for the 2011 festival, "Slipstream Engine."
